150 families receive donation from CP Cambodia and TrueMoney Cambodia

Victims from 4communes in Peam Ro district receive the donation at Chroy Pagoda

Prey Veng: CP Cambodia, in cooperation with TrueMoney Cambodia, organized a donation ceremony for flood victims in four communes of Peam Ro district in Prey Veng province on Tuesday, August 28, 2018.

This charitable donation ceremony is held at the site of Chroy pagoda, Peam Koh village, Peam Ro commune, Peam Ro district, Prey Veng Province, with the high participation of H.E Duch Kunthea, Deputy Governor of Prey Veng Province as high representative of H.E Chea Samethy, Provincial Governor, Seng Teang, Peam Ro District Governor and Chair of the District Disaster Management Committee, Wittaya Kreangkriwit, Senior Vice-President for Special Project and Government Relations of CP Cambodia, and Kong Mean, Managing Director of TrueMoney Cambodia.

Seng Teang, Peam Ro District Governor and Chair of the District Disaster Management Committee, said: “I am very excited and I would like to express my warmest greetings to the presence of H.E Governor and donors from CP Cambodia and TrueMoney Cambodia to provide charitable relief to 150 domestic families who have been affected by floods.”

At the donation event, the two companies donated foods and drinks to 150 families in Peam Ro District, Prey Veng province, including rice, noodles, fish cans, eggs, mineral water and some medicines.

According to Wittaya Kreangkriwit, a senior vice-president for special project and government relations of CP Cambodia said, “The reason that CP Cambodia and TrueMoney company have cooperated to contribute a generous donation for 150 families in Prey Veng province because of the flooding disaster which seriously caused in different places in the province.”

Today, the environment and the climate are unpredictable, causing severe disasters and causing flood, causing damage to crops and rice fields, water resources and diseases.

Speaking at the ceremony, Kong Mean, a managing director of TrueMoney Cambodia, said that he and his team, and leaders of CP Cambodia really regretted about this disaster that has caused so many people in Prey Veng, were affected by the floods especially people who live along the river.

“We should know about way to protect the environment to perform various activities, whether it’s in agriculture sector, industry sector or daily living context, and to think about the environment and protect each other for sustainable development,” said Kreangkriwit.

As notice, Cambodia is located in the middle of the lowlands and has a long lane along the Mekong River, which can be affected by the inevitable flood disaster, and Prey Veng province is a watershed in parallel with the Mekong, which can be affected by severe floods.
